AQMCSE 2026

About the conference

AQMCSE focuses on the journey behind applied quantum methods: the ideas, experiments, failures and lessons learned that turn quantum computing into real-world applications.

What is AQMCSE?

Not just results – but the journey. AQMCSE puts methods, process and lessons learned at the centre of the discussion.

Unlike many other quantum conferences where the focus is on presenting results and roadmaps, the AQMCSE conference series stands out by putting the journey – how those results were achieved and what can be learned from the process – in the spotlight.

At AQMCSE, we explicitly invite contributions on tips, tricks and innovations, but also on failures and negative results. The goal is a vibrant community of quantum practitioners dedicated to creating practical and implementable quantum applications for real-world problems.

AQMCSE 2026 continues the tradition of bringing together the quantum industry, academia and computational sciences to focus on applied quantum computing that delivers value across disciplines, including computational fluid dynamics, structural analysis, optimization, materials science, machine learning and cryptography.

Conference focus
  • Applied quantum algorithms and hybrid workflows
  • Benchmarking quantum vs. classical methods
  • Non-orthodox, creative uses of quantum devices
  • Lessons learned from real-world case studies
  • Dialogue between practitioners and hardware providers

AQMCSE provides a four-day platform for genuine knowledge exchange between end users and technology providers.

Conference format

AQMCSE 2026 offers a programme designed for in-depth technical exchange and structured networking:

  • Keynote lectures by world-class experts
  • Parallel scientific tracks with contributed talks
  • Poster sessions with short lightning pitches
  • Welcome Reception at TU Delft Aula Conference Centre
  • Conference Dinner in the historic city centre

Pre-conference masterclasses and tutorial sessions are planned during the weekend before the conference. More information will follow.

Four days at a glance
  • Plenary keynotes and invited overview talks
  • Technical sessions with peer-reviewed contributions
  • Poster and demo sessions for emerging work
  • Industry–academia matchmaking opportunities
  • Social events for informal discussion and networking

Who should attend?

AQMCSE 2026 offers something for every participant, depending on their background and goals:

Quantum practitioners

Share the behind-the-scenes process of how you've achieved your results. AQMCSE is a place to exchange ideas, challenges, negative results and hybrid classical–quantum approaches.

Industry professionals

Discover how quantum computing can address real-world problems in your field, from optimization and logistics to finance and materials science, and how it may fit into your strategy.

Academics & researchers

Engage with the applied side of quantum computing. See how theoretical work is translated into practical use cases and explore interdisciplinary opportunities with engineering and industry partners.

Hardware providers

Learn firsthand what practitioners are trying to accomplish with your devices. Understand real usage patterns and gather feedback for your development roadmap.

Students & newcomers

Join the pre-conference masterclass to get an immersion into the basics of quantum computing, meet professionals and learn how to turn early ideas into practical solutions.

Building quantum teams

Ideal for organisations wishing to build or expand an in-house quantum applications team. Explore talent, tools and success stories to shape your quantum strategy.
