AQMCSE 2026 in Delft brings together quantum practitioners, engineers, computational scientists and technology providers who are working on turning quantum computing into practical tools for real-world applications.

What is AQMCSE?

Unlike many other quantum conferences where the focus is on presenting results and roadmaps, the AQMCSE conference series is distinctive in that it puts the journey into the spotlight – how results were achieved, which methods were tried, what went wrong along the way, and what can be learned from the process.

At AQMCSE, we explicitly invite contributions that share tips, tricks and innovations, but also failures and negative results. The goal is to foster a vibrant community of quantum practitioners dedicated to creating practical and implementable quantum applications for real-world problems.

AQMCSE 2026 will continue the tradition of bringing together the quantum industry, academia and computational sciences to focus on applied quantum computing that delivers value across disciplines such as computational fluid dynamics, structural analysis, optimization, materials science, machine learning, cryptography and more.

Why attend?
  • Connect with experts in applied quantum computing
  • Learn from real-world case studies and benchmarks
  • Share methods, pitfalls and negative results
  • Meet hardware and software providers and end users
  • Experience TU Delft and the historic city of Delft

Conference format

AQMCSE 2026 offers a compact programme designed for in-depth technical exchange, cross-disciplinary learning and structured networking:

Who should attend?

AQMCSE 2026 offers something for a broad range of participants, depending on their background and goals:

Quantum practitioners

Share the behind-the-scenes process of how you have achieved your results. AQMCSE is not only a polished showcase, but a place to exchange ideas, discuss challenges, share negative results and explore new ways to hybridise classical and quantum systems.

Industry professionals

Learn how quantum computing could solve real-world problems in your field – from optimization and logistics to finance, mobility, energy systems and materials science – and explore how quantum solutions may fit into your business strategy.

Academics & researchers

Engage with the applied side of quantum computing. See how theoretical and methodological work is translated into practical use cases, and explore interdisciplinary opportunities with engineering, data science and industry partners.

Hardware providers

Learn firsthand what the practitioner community is trying to accomplish with your devices. Understand how end users are applying your hardware and gather feedback on where your development roadmap could better meet their needs.

Students & newcomers

Join the pre-conference masterclass for an immersion into the basics of quantum computing. Engage with professionals, gain new insights and learn how to take early ideas and scale them into practical solutions.

Building quantum teams

Ideal for organisations wishing to build or expand an in-house quantum applications team, with exposure to use cases, tools and potential collaborators.
